Minor author comments:

The Illustrations in the sidebar appear correctly when opened although they are out of order in the sidebar. The current order as shown is Illustration 1, 2, 6, 4, 3, 5, 7.

If you download the PDF you should trust the caption that appears as the footnote rather than the header which may be incorrect.

In the methods section in the Full text "n biallelic SNPs results in 2^n possible haplotypes", n does not appear in superscript as it should. This appears correctly as an exponent in the PDF version

A paper in J. Biol Chem. "A Synonymous Single Nucleotide Polymorphism in deltaF508 CFTR Alters the Secondary Structure of the mRNA and the Expression of the Mutant Protein" suggests that a synonymous change in the 507 codon may contribute to protein translational differences due to this important disease variant. The authors support this via computational prediction, as well measures of RNA structure, and in vitro models of allelic effects on mRNA decay and translational rate.
