Cancer Cells Jointly Exposed To Gamma-radiation And Electric Field Develop S-phase Arrest

Other Comments:
This is in response to the invitation for review from Lead faculty.
It is an interesting manuscript that describes potential deficiencies caused by gamma-irradiation and electric field. To justify the conclusions, it is important to strengthen and fix figure1 and table1. In addition, it would be intriguing to see if the conditions are independent, or dependent (additional, synergistic, etc.).
Here are some suggestions:
- Figure 1--Is the label (G1/G0, S, and G2/M) in a proper position? The patterns in IR and IR+SEF look very similar. It will be helpful to have additional control (SEF).
- Table 1--Need statistics to show significance.
- The result section can be expanded to make it more informative.

An article whose findings are important to those with closely related research interests.
Introduction also lacks the review of literature which is an essential part of this.As many such studies have been conducted in this regard, the author should search for related studies and incorporate in the introduction.

I wolud suggest to improve the quality of Table 2, and to illustrate, in the discussion, the clinical potential of this approach, i.e. if this therapy may be safely used to threat human cancers, withouth incurring in toxic side effects

Other Comments:
In their ms, Michelle Moron and coworkers reported an original application of ionizing radiation and static electric filed on T74D breast cancer cells. In particular, cells simulatneously exposed to both the agents experienced a S-phase arrest detected by flow cytometry.
I suggest to improve the quality of table 2, and to introduce, in the discussion, a section on the clinical potential of this approach, i.e. if this therapy may be really and effectively used to threath some cancers in humans or if it shows, at present, some limitations (such as side-effects, toxicity...)

I would suggest to improve the presentation of Table I and Figure 1. Also, in Figure 1, to measure the data generating by FACS, like as fluorescence intensity, the median and the percentage of fluorescent cells
