What are the main claims of the paper and how important are they?
...conclude that administration of Trichosanthes cucumerina seed used for the treatment of inflammation may not cause any histological aberration in the urinary bladder.
-
Are these claims novel? If not, please specify papers that weaken the claims to the originality of this one.
no reason to believe there were no histological aberrations since histology was not done.
-
Are the claims properly placed in the context of the previous literature?
No, no context to previously literature is provided
-
Do the results support the claims? If not, what other evidence is required?
Histologica study must be done.
-
If a protocol is provided, for example for a randomized controlled trial, are there any important deviations from it? If so, have the authors explained adequately why the deviations occurred?
No randomization is described.
-
Is the methodology valid? Does the paper offer enough details of its methodology that its experiments or its analyses could be reproduced?
No description of details of methanol extract were given.
-
Would any other experiments or additional information improve the paper? How much better would the paper be if this extra work was done, and how difficult would such work be to do, or to provide?
Extra work would be required to prepare the ms. correctly but this reviewer is not recommending that the experimental design merits such effort.
-
Is this paper outstanding in its discipline? (For example, would you like to see this work presented in a seminar at your hospital or university? Do you feel these results need to be incorporated in your next general lecture on the subject?) If yes, what makes it outstanding? If not, why not?
The results do not justify a resubmission of this manuscript.

Other Comments:
Trichosanthes cucumerina is latin and should be in italics or underlined. There are a number of grammatical and spelling errors. The table is not included as
intended and mean weights are not given. The citations are incomplete and are not consistently formatted to follow any particular manual of style. The most
common error seems to be misuse of dashes in a number of places. There is a lack of justification for expecting a different result from the results obtained. Without histological examination, the conclusion of the authors is not valid as stated. What was the hypothesis or objective of this research? This reviewer appreciates the difficulty for attempting such a study in what are quite difficult circumstances. Especially since funding was not available. However, considering the poor quality of the manuscript and a clear statement of the objective of the study, the results are completely expected and do not contribute to the literature. The quality of the paper propels one to reject it. A complete, carefully written manuscript would be necessary, with reasons to be given including a reasonable answer to the question of why the study was done is normally suggested prior to its resubmission. However, resubmission is not suggested. -
