It is indeed a challenge to diagnose these sub-group of patients with fibrous dysplasia who present with cystic lesions in the metaphysis/diaphysis of long bones.... Treatment of these lesions poses another challenge... The approach of using potent bisphosphonates like Zoledronic acid, which inhibits osteoclastic action on bone, is truly novel... I completely agree with the authors opinion that this aspect of treatment of fibrous dysplasia has to be investigated further in the form of prospective controlled studies, to define the role of medical treatment in fibrous dysplasia.. I congratulate the authors for their effort!!

It is indeed a nobel idea to use zolendronic acid for the treatment of fibrous dysplasia and that too with such a gratifying result and avoiding the complications of surgery. I take this as an opportunity to congratulate the authors for such a wonderful article depicting the role of zolendronic acid in fibrous dysplasia.
