    The main purpose of this paper is to present an application which can be used to assist radiologists in the examination of the breast.

    The authors provide a detailed methods section describing the modified gradient magnitude region growing technique. Watershed segmentation is also described. Two semi-automated approaches are presented for the segmentation of a tumor. These two semi-automated approaches are presented for the segmentation of a tumor. These approaches overcome sensitivity and accuracy limitations.
