The main goal of this paper is to explore the effect of VEGF on eNOS transcription in HUVEC. In the paper, the results suggested VEGF increased eNOS transcription, which was associated with a cis-transinteraction localized to an AP1-like site within the eNOS promoter. Overall the paper is well written and most of the conclusion by the authors appears to be supported by their results. Taken in consideration the reported findings, I believe that the study might be considered for publication.

This interesting paper is looking at the effect of VEGF on eNOS transcription in HUVEC, and the authors clearly demonstate that VEGF increases eNOS transcription mediated by an effect through a cis-trans interaction localized to an AP-like site within the eNOS promoter.

Study desing and methodology are adequate, the results are clear-cut, and the discussion is well-written.
