The researcher has enligtened us in a good research question.  But the study group has been chosen too randomly and hence no difference is found.  I expected some difference since the groups themselves are different.  the authors should not loose heart, but carry out another study with strict inclusion and exclusion criteria.  They should clearly define the objective.  If this is going to be a medical paper some physcians should be involved in the study.  If it to examine the physical properties then pure science researchers can do the study.  Otherwise this work may fall through the gap between two fields.

The metabolism of many trace elements like zinc, chromium, magnesium and manganese etc. can alter the pathogenesis or progression of diabetes mellitus. The present study aims at comparing the trace element levels in fasting and postprandial blood serum samples which is a good work.

                    The author can discuss,

    1. Results separately in type1 and type 2 diabetic patients.
    2. Any role of hypertension or dyslipidemia affecting the levels of trace elements in such patients.
    3. Correlate the trace elements levels with respect to their age, gender, BMI and their diet consumption.

The author should avoid the repetition of sentences in discussion/conclusions. References should be quoted properly. Abstract should be more informative.
