Brief Biography:


Jian Yi (Jim) Li, MD, PhD is Board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Neuropathology by American Board of Pathology.  Dr. Li is the Director of Neuropathology at the Brain Tumor Institute, Co-Director of Neuropathology, Department of Pathology and Lab Medicine, North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, Lake Success, NY.  He has appointed to the Faculty of Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine as an assistant professor

In the three years prior his pathology residency training, Dr. Li held a faculty appointment as Research Assistant Professor in Blood-Brain Barrier Research Laboratory at UCLA. He is a known expert in molecular biology of the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and BBB genomics.  His current interest is genomics and eigenomics of malignant gliomas and CNS lymphoma.

He is a member of The American Association of Neuropathologists, College of American Pathologists, The United States & Canadian Academy of Pathology, and others. He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed articles and many meeting abstracts. He was listed in Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare 2011-2012 (8th edition).
