Brief Biography:

Dr. Yusuf Sevgiler is an Assist.Prof.Dr, Department of Biology at Adiyaman University, Turkey. His expertise lies on toxicology of pesticides and heavy metals especially on aquatic organisms using as model organisms, and focused on whether the beneficial effects of some antioxidant agents on the toxicology of these environmental toxicants. Dr. Sevgiler graduated from Çukurova University, Biology Department, Adana, Turkey. After then, he started MSc. and Ph.D. studies at the same university and he became a research assistant where he worked in Institute of Natural and Applied Science at Çukurova University, Adana, Turkey. He has published 17 peer-reviewed articles and served as a reviewer more than 30 manuscripts in high quality publications. He is a member of Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, Turkish Society of Toxicology, and Turkish Society of Biochemistry.

1999-2007: Research Assistant in University of Çukurova, Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences, Department of Biology.

2007-: Assistant Professor in University of Adiyaman, Faculty of Science and Letters, Department of Biology.
