What I think of the idea behind WebmedCentral:

Publising in scientific journals became obligatory to get promotion in the academic life. I believe that it is a necessity for an academician but lots of publishers request high amounts to publish the manuscripts and I believe that this proses result in buying academic degrees in a meaning. On the other side espectially the students can't afford to read the studies. So I believe that your open publishing concept is very helpfull for bringing close together the scientific writers and readers.
