I obtained Bachelor of Science (Biochemistry) and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. I joined my current position in 2009 and am now the Research Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Hong Kong. My research interests focus on microbiology, biochemistry, and molecular biology of microbes, in particular to the human pathogenic fungus Candida albicans.

1. Mechanistic studies of antimicrobial agents.
2. Identification of prime targets for antifungal interventions.
3. Microbial genetics and molecular biology.
4. Protein engineering and structural studies of microbial enzymes.
I serve as supervisor of research postgraduate students at MPhil and PhD levels.
The idea is fantastic and would definitely put together experts in all research fields in the scientific community. It also triggers knowledge exchange and collaboration, which would be highly beneficial for the healthy development of scientific research.
