1972-78: course of Laurea in Medicine and Surgery at University School of Medicine “La Sapienza” inRomewith final Degree in Medicine and Surgery (with honours)

1978-81: course of specialization in Dermatology and Venereology Institute of Dermatology, University School of Medicine “La Sapienza” inRomewith final Degree of Specialist in Dermatology (with honours)

1981-84: course of specialization in Oncology, University School of Medicine “La Sapienza” inRomewith final Degree of Specialist in Oncology (with honours)

 

Academic positions:

  • 1984-1990 PhD in Experimental Dermatology Institute of Dermatology, University School of Medicine “La Sapienza” in Rome
  • 1991-2003 dermatologist and researcher in the Institute of Dermatology, University School of Medicine “La Sapienza” inRome
  • Since 2003 Chairman of Dermatology, University School of Medicine “Magna Graecia”Catanzaro, as associated professor in Dermatology
 

Research interests:

  • Clinical dermatology; dermato-oncology, dermoscopy, dermatopathology
  • Investigational dermatology with special reference to cutaneous melanoma and lymphoma
  • Laboratory experience  in ultrastructural research, enzymehistochemistry, immunohistochemistry,  immunofluorescence studies, cytology

What I think of the idea behind WebmedCentral:

The philosophy of webmedcentral is "Democracy" fo rall its users. The authors have to be also peer reviewers and viceversa. In fornt of research and discovery people can assume an attitude to privilege privacy and restrain publication or can prefer to communicate their experiences and publish them. The voices may be too many but the possibility of development are without doubt better.
