Brief Biography:

Obtained my undergraduate [Nutrition & Dietetics] and masters [Dietetics] from the University of Madras, India,  masters [Biochemistry] from the University of Malaya, Post Graduate Diploma [Human Nutrition] from Deakin Unviersity and a PhD [Nutrition] from ther National University of Malaysia.

Worked as a Community Dietitian in Aboriginal health in Melbourne, Australia, researcher in human nutrition trials and in academia.

Academic positions:

Joined the Dietetics Program at the National University of Malaysia in 1995 in an academic capacity. Appointed as associate professor in 2009. Appointed as the Head of the Dietetic Program, School of Health Sciences from 2010.

Research interests:

Research interest is in cardiometabolic human studies involving nutrition assessment, nutrition intervention and nutrition product experimentation.
