Brief Biography:


SUMMARY OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Dr.Tatjana( nee Dragicevic) Ille has extensive(18 years) teaching experience, both in Serbia and Bosnia in Public Health, Epidemiology and General Statistics. She has also contributed to the development of Public Health awareness in Serbia, holding the position of the Program Board Memeber of School of Public Health, Medical faculty, University of Belgrade. She is implementing experiences and good practices she adopted as a visiting scholar in Public Health Department of University of Illinois, Chicago. Dr. Ille's engagement at the Department for Biostatistics, Medical informatics and Research in Medicine, Medical faculty, University of Belgrade involves the supervision of all other researchers (epidemiologists, medical doctors, social scientists ) for final procession of their Thesis , along with help in formulation and designing their research projects. Prof Ille has supervised three PhD students, two Master's students and one post graduate student . Scope of her expertise spanned from various areas of applied statistics( generalized regression models and ANOVA on cardiologic and endocrine problems in particular). Currently, two PhD students that she is supervising are involved in meta analyses and application of advanced statistic techniques on prediction of incidences of skin carcinoma . Dr. Ille's engagement as a Professor in Sarajevo resulted in supervision of one PhD student working on statistical issues regarding post-stroke rehabilitation, and one Master student in the field of Quality of Life. This researches were published in peer-reviewed journals(see below). Dr. Ille is also investigator in several international projects, just to mention the Zenica, Bosnia based project titled “Meticilin- Resistant Staphylococcus aureus( MRSA) and Gramm Negative Bacteria that Produce Extended-Spectrum beta lactamase(ESBL) as the causes of the surgical wounds” (for more see below). Currently still she is the most focused to two Serbian Ministry of Health funded projects regarding Public Health aspects of HIV in Serbia. QUALIFICATIONS 2010. Completed the second year of the sub specialization in Angiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade 2003. Course in Clinical Epidemiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade 2003. Course in Management in Health Service, Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade 2001.Specialist Diploma1/Degree in Dermatovenerology, obtained form the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade(5-year specialist post graduate program in Dermatovenerology) 1999.PhD. in Medical Statistics and Informatics, obtained from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade(Doctoral Programme in Medicine) 1998. Course on Hyperbaric Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade 1995. MSc. in Medical Statistics and Human Reproduction, obtained from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade(2- year graduate program/Masters Degree program in Medicine) 1993.M.D. in Medicine ,obtained from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade(6-year undergraduate programme) (The term Diploma in continental Europe is an equivalent to the term Degree in common English terminology.)

I have over 18 years of in medical statistics, medical researches and teaching as well as Public Health . Currently I am holding a post of the Director of Institute of Medical Statistics and Informatics and Research in Medicine ( Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade). I am also the Principal investigator and coordinator in many national and international reseaches in different fields of Public Health and Statistics and have over 10 years of experience in health policy . I am higly motivated for new challenges and keen to give contribution to WebmedCentral
