Biography:


Biography Dr. Mouaz Al-Mallah received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. He completed his internal medicine residency and cardiovascular fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital, Wayne State University, Detroit, MI, USA. After that, he completed a cardiovascular imaging fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital - Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, USA. Dr Al-Mallah also received his M.Sc. degree in clinical research design and biostatistics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor USA. Following that, Dr. Al-Mallah was appointed as an Associate Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University and co-Director of Advanced Cardiac Imaging at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI. Since July 2010, he is a Consultant Cardiologist and Division Head, Cardiac Imaging at King Abdul-Aziz Cardiac Center, King Abdul-Aziz Medical City, National Guard Health Affairs in Riyadh Saudia Arabia. Dr. Al-Mallah currently performs and interprets all kinds of cardiac imaging tests, including echocardiography (TTE and TEE), nuclear cardiology (SPECT and PET), cardiac CT and MRI. He lectured extensively about different cardiac imaging modalities, both locally and internationally at the annual meetings of the European Society of Cardiology, American College of cardiology, American Heart Association, Society of Nuclear Medicine and American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. He is a member of American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association annual meeting program committees as well multiple other professional societies’ committees. He is also frequently a faculty at the American College of Cardiology Cardiac CT course held in the heart house in Washington DC and in Kingdom of Saudia Arabia. He is an invited editor at multiple journals, a member of the editorial board of Journal of the American College of Cardiology (Impact factor 14.5) and JACC imaging (Impact factor 5.5) and serves frequently as a reviewer for multiple journals including JAMA, Circulation, JACC and others. Dr. Al-Mallah has more than 60 published papers and more than 100 published abstracts. He is a member of the board of directors of the American Society of Nuclear cardiology.
