Biography:

I graduated from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. My thesis work unraveled the role of phosphatidylinositol 4-kinases in Fc epsilon RI signaling in mast cells. During my postdoctoral work at NIH, I have identified and characterized two novel proteins involved in GPCR activation. At University of Washington, Seattle I am working on the identification and characterization of novel interacting partners of AMP kinases which are implicated cardiac hypertrophy and heart failure.

Academic positions:

Senior Fellow, University of Washington, Seattle. Duration: Marcch 2012-Present Postdoctoral Fellow, National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), National Institutes of Health (NIH) USA. Duration: Dec 2008-March 2012. Research Scholar, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Duration: July 2002-Aug 2008

Research interests:

I am interested in molecular cell biology and cell signaling. My specialized interestes underlies in identifying the role of lipid kinases and protein kinases in heart failure.
