Cardiologist
ASL NA2 Nord - Naples
via Cavour 13

Brief Biography:

Born in 1952, near Naples, Italy.

Graduated in Medicine in 1976, specialized in Cardiology in 1979.

From 1983, supporter of the idea that aging (or, more precisely, age-related progressive fitness decline) is a programmed phenomenon, namely favoured by selective mechanism.

From 1983, supporter of the concept that medicine and health organization must be radically reformed on the basis of evolutionism (Evolutionary Medicine).

Member of SIBE / ISEB (Società Italiana di Biologia Evoluzionistica / Italian Society of Evolutionary Biology) from 2006.

Academic positions:

Independent Researcher

Research interests:

Evolutionary Biology, Evolutionary Gerontology, Evolutionary Medicine

What I think of the idea behind WebmedCentral:

A stimulating, free and powerful point for proposing arguments about ideas that are scarcely known or in contrast with current convictions.
