Brief Biography:


Dr Gurpreet Kaur Randhawa is presently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, Government Medical College, Amritsar, Punjab, India. She did her graduation in medicine in 1990 and postgraduation (MD) in Pharmacology in 2002 from Government Medical College, Amritsar. She has been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical students and undergraduate dental students also since 2002.

Dr Randhawa has published two books ‘Orphan diseases and drugs – widen the horizon’ and 'Ecopharmacology - and its future Forensic implications – an emerging science’ by German publishers and are available on all online bookstores. She has to her credit 5 International publications in journals like ISRN Pharmacology, Clinical Therapeutics, International Journal of Applied and Basic Medicine Research, Medico-Legal Update and AYU, and National publications in journals like Indian Journal of Pharmacology and Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine and many conference abstracts. Dr Randhawa is a reviewer for journals like International Journal of Applied and Basic Medicine, International Journal of Physical Sciences and African Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology. Dr Randhawa is a member of Indian Pharmacological Society, Basic Medical Sciences Society and AMCAA-AMDAANA.

Dr Randhawa’s major research interests are in the subject of Pharmacology, Herbal Medicine, Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine.
