Prof. Rungroj Krittayaphong

Brief Biography:


Rungroj Krittayaphong was born in Bangkok, Thailand, in 1963.  He received the medical degree (second class honor) at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand in 1987, He completed resident training in internal medicine, Prince of Songkhla University, Thailand, 1991; clinical fellow in cardiology, Siriraj Hospital, Bangkok, Thailand 1993.  He was appointed associate professor in medicine in 1997, professor in medicine 2003.  He was research fellow in cardiology ai University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, 1993-95; research fellow in cardiac electrophysiology at University Southern California, LA, USA, in 1996. He has contributed numerous articles to professional journals. He is Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and American College of Cardiology, members of Heart Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage, Royal College of Physician, and Thai Medical Council. He is editor in chief of Thai Heart Journal.

Research interests:


Radio frequency ablation and medical treatment in patients with idiopathic ventricular arrhythmia; heart rate variability, internal defibrillator in sudden unexpected death syndrome and Brugada syndrome; mental stress in cardiac patients and cardiovascular magnetic resonance.
