Brief Biography:


Dr Raghavendra Babu YP is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore which is an affiliated institute of Manipal University, South India. He has to his credit many reserach papers in both National and International journals. He has published a book on a novel idea titled "concept Maps in Forensic Medicine and Toxicology- a quick review for exams. In addition he has authored few chapters in a reputed text book in Forensics. He is also a reviewer fro many National and Interenational journals.

1. Won the Best Poster award for the poster entitled “Umbilical Cord Changes – Pictorial Depiction” at the XIV Annual State Conference of Karnataka Medico-Legal Society, Forensicon -06 from 1st to 2nd July’2006 conducted by the Department of Forensic Medicine, Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli.
2. Awarded a certificate of appreciation by Kasturba medical College, Mangalore, for contribution to publications in the year 2009 on 26th March’2010.
3. Has been included in the 2010 Edition of “Who's Who in the World” whose publications is the most trusted source of biographical information and have been invaluable to the reference community for over 100 years.
4. Has been nominated in the “Top 100 Educators 2010” by the International Biographical Center, Cambridge, England.
5. Contributed to the conduction of “Compos Mentis 2010” as a resource person at the National level Forensic quiz competition organized by the Department of Forensic MEDICINE, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University, Manipal held on September 25th 2010.
6. Has been awarded financial grants by the conference committee to attend IBSC2010 Conference held at Penang, Malaysia.
7. Has been a resource person and also a part of the Jury team for COMPOS MENTIS 2011, a national level forensic quiz competition, organized by the Department of Forensic Medicine, KMC, Manipal on October 1st 2011.
8. Was a part of organizing committee in CME on Forensic Odontology “Teeth do tell tales – an aid in forensic investigation” as a member of the scientific committee.
9. Awarded a certificate of appreciation by KMC, Mangalore for contribution to publications in the year 2011.
