Dr. Philip Kum-nji

Brief Biography:


Dr Kum-Nji is a graduate of the University of Yaounde School of Medicine, Cameroon. He obtained an MPH from Tulane University, New Orleans, and subsequently did a pediatric residency from the Le Bonheur Children's Hospital Memphis, University of Tennessee. Dr Kum-Nji was in private practice for several years in rural Mississippi and Tennessee before joining academic medicine. Before joining the VCU school of Medicine, he previously taught in the University of Mississippi Medical School and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is a general pediatrician and has published several research articles and abstracts in various peer-reviewed journals. His current research interest is on how to reduce the effect of smoking exposure on child health.

What I think of the idea behind WebmedCentral:


This is a very novel idea in the sense that we can publish all submitted articles including pre- and post-publication reviews at a minimum cost. In this way, innovative ideas will spread very quickly and not be cut short by some myopic reviewers. Fantastic!
