Mr. Arun Narayanankutty

Researcher
Department of Immunoallergy and Asthma, Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Respiratorias Ismael Cosio Villegas

Brief Biography:

I am working as a researcher at reputed and most important national respiratory hospital in Mexico. I am working on biochemical, molecular and genetic mechanisms involved in aspirin induced asthma.

Aspirin induced asthma is non IgE mediated but comparatively severe kind of asthma with a global prevalence of around 20% in general asthmatics. Patients exacerbate severe asthma symptoms up on NSAID intake with rare anaphylactic shock and grave consequences. The pathophysiology of the disease is poorly understood. We as a team are involved in uncovering the underlying pathophysiological mechanism which could contribute for better therapeutics and disease management.
