Dr. Emad Hashish

Brief Biography:


Dr. Hashish has been graduated from faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Zagazig University in 2003. He got his master degree in Veterinary Medicine from the same faculty in 2007. He has been awarded a short term visit to the Pathobiology department, University of Guelph, Canada 2008 with emphasis on Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus (BVDV) focusing on immunohistochemistry technique. He assigned as a research assistant for Ph.D. program at the Veterinary & biomedical science department at South Dakota State University, US in 2010. The PhD project was focusing on anti-adhesion anti-toxin & anti-BVDV antigen for protection against enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC), heat-stable enterotoxin (STa) &Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus (BVDV). Now Dr. Hashish is assigned as a lecturer and his work is a continuation of ETEC vaccine.

July 2014- January 2015: Scholar Visitor, Friedrich-Loeffler-Institute, Federal Research Institute for Animal Health, Jena, Germany.

June 2013- June 2014: Assistant professor, Clinical Pathology Department, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Zagazig University, Egypt.

August 2010- May 2013: Research assistant, South Dakota State University, Brookings, SD,USA. 

September 2008 -July 2010: Assistant lecturer, Clinical Pathology Department, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Zagazig University, Egypt.

March 2008- August 2008: Scholar Visitor, Ontario Veterinary College (OVC), Guelph University, Canada. 

September 2007-February 2008: Assistant lecturer, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Zagazig University, Egypt.

September 2003-August 2007: Demonstrator (teaching assistant), Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Diagnosis Department, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Zagazig University, Egypt.

 

 

Research interests:


1- Molecular biology, DNA extraction & genetic manipulation.

2- PCR, Western blotting , ELISA & Immunohistochemistry

3- Protein extraction & purification

4- Cloning & Tissue culture

5- vaccine development
