SUMMARY OF MY QUALIFICATIONS and PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: (1998-2018)
Dr. Akubue Augustine Uchenna(PhD)– a Policy Economist, Medical and Academic doctor, public health expert WITH over twenty five years experienced in public health and education practice of which more than twenty years were spent in UNITED Nations-World Health Organization (WHO) supporting disease control programmes and education in Nigeria and several countries WHILE more than four years were spent as public health manager and expert in managing global polio eradication initiative and other public health programmes such as childhood survival strategies funded by UNICEF,United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and US Centre for Disease Control (CDC) for Nigeria government. Two years were spent in clinical medicine at rural communities. I have wide experience in consulting with World Bank.
Dr. Akubue Augustine Uchenna as an Entrepreneur is the President of Bright Value College in Enugu state Nigeria. He is the CEO/Chairman Bright Value telecom (www.brightvaluetelecom.com, Bright Value Resort limited as well as Bright Value Academy.
Dr. Akubue Augustine Uchenna is a disease control and public health practitioner with committed professional interest in (1) development of evidence-based health policies education and strategies, (2) Guiding investments for disease prevention and control, elimination or eradication, (3) Development of health sector performance management systems, and (4) Agent of visionary and strategic change in health systems, health institutions and organizations their managerial processes and practices. I am well trained by WHO with special bias in resources management especially in areas of Health Insurance, health care financing, human resources and health policy and education development.
My professional goal has been to contribute to the health stock in Nigeria, Africa and entire globe through optimizing efficiency in health investments – that is, enhancing the impact of public health investments on targeted diseases and improving performance and accountability in targeted health organizations and institutions
My recorded professional success stories reflect my team spirit and good inter- personal relationship with people. I am dedicated hardworking public health expert with knack for positive results. I am dependable, reliable, transparent and accountable to all my responsibilities and actions. I supersede all my targets and deliverables within the context of team spirit, equity, social justice while showing respect for cultural and organization codes of conducts. Consequently, I have gained recognition for evidence-based programming, institutional change agenda for health, producing and showing results that are cost-effective while managing human, financial and material resources effectively and efficiently.
