Prof. Ali Saad

Brief Biography:


Was Born in Lebanon in 1964. Studied in Lebanon till High School, then went to France to complete his education. He got BS in Electronics/Instrumentation. 2 masters one in digital image processing another in signal processing/Microelectonics-1993, and a PhD. In Image Processing and Analysis -1996 from the university of Nantes France. From Oct. 1996 till July 2000 : Post Doctorate - Research Associate- at the National Center for macromolecular Imaging at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston Texas USA. The research project was filtering, Analysis and 3D Reconstruction of Herpes Simplex Virus using Cryo-Electron Microscope. from Sept/2000 till 2008: Assistant Professor at the Department of Biomedical Technology/College of Applied Medical Sciences at KSU. since Jan./2009 Associate professor at KSU. Dr. Saad was the first in the World who introduced the wavelet analysis in the 3D reconstruction for Herpes simplex virus, several publication resulted from his research. Dr. Saad has more than 13 publications in per-reviewed journals and more than 13 papers in conferences. He participated in several workshops, review grants and journal papers.
