Necrotising Fascitis does pose a grave problem in a Global scenario, where in there is rising Morbidity as well as Mortality. It takes a heavy toll, on resources as the organisms isolated have proven to be resistant to even the newer antibiotics, and as observed in this article amputations are not uncommon and need to be done to check the spread of infection or prevent Mortality in these patients. It not only proves to be common in Diabetic population, but its high incidence in males needs to be further investigated.
