Many thanks for your comments. I take on board your criticism. These are some of the problems identified by users such as you and we at WebmedCentral have listened.

1. In due course, you will see a Lead Faculty in charge of co-ordinating post publication peer review on every article.

2. There are several problems with open peer review but "crowd effect" as suggested by you here has not previously been known to be very significant. I would trust all scientists to give their opinion honestly and openly. There was a concern that some reviewers may not find it easy to be critical openly. To address this problem, WebmedCentral will allow reviewers to request us to withhold their personal details while publishing the reviews in near future.

3. Author suggested reviewers comprise a small proportion of WebmedCentral reviewing community. There are several other layers to it on WebmedCentral like Scholarly Reviewers, Faculty, and External Reviewers to provide an independent assessment. We are currently working on improving quantity as well as quality of reviewing on WebmedCentral.

Kamal Mahawar
