Dr. Danny Wang

Brief Biography:


Dr. Wang, obtained his PhD in Biophysics from the Lab of Cognitive Brain Imaging, University of Science & Technology of China (now Beijing MRI Center for Brain Research, Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences) in 1998, under the supervision of Prof. Lin Chen. He subsequently obtained postdoctoral training in MRI biophysics at the University of Pennsylvania (working with Dr. John A. Detre) from 1999 to 2002. Dr. Wang also holds a MS in clinical epidemiology (MSCE) from University of Pennsylvania. He has been a Research Assistant Professor at the Departments of Radiology and Neurology, University of Pennsylvania from 2003 to 2010. Dr. Wang joined Ahmanson-Lovelace Brain Mapping Center at UCLA as Associate Professor of Neurology since March 2010. To date, Dr. Wang has published 70 peer-reviewed papers and 10 book chapters/review articles, and has continuously been funded by NIH since 2004. He has served on grant review panels for US NIH, NSF and UK MRC.
