Brief Biography:


 

Dr Pavan M Patil has trained extensively in both the fields of Facio-Maxillary surgery and Dentistry. He graduated in 2002 from Bangalore University after training at the KLE Dental College, Belgaum which is a premier institution in India. He then underwent didactic training in the field of Oral & Maxillofacial surgery from Bangalore University, post-graduating in 2006. He subsequently travelled to Zurich, Switzerland to train in facial cosmetic surgery and obtained the award of Fellowship of the International society of Cleft Lip and Palate Surgeons in 2007. He then achieved the award of Diplomate of National Board, New Delhi, in September 2007. He has travelled extensively and has delivered key note addresses at Taiwan, Shangai, Turkey, and Zurich. He was twice awarded the Smile Train Travel Scholarship for his exceptional contribution towards the treatment of children born with cleft lip and palate facial deformity in India. He is considered a pioneer in conscious sedation for management of the uncooperative dental child patient and medically compromised dental patients. He has eight international article publications to his credit. He is a teaching faculty at the School of Dental Sciences, Sharda University, Greater Noida, India. He is actively involved in training students to excel in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Sedation Dentistry. He is an accredited life member of The Indian Society of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeonsurgeons of India and Academy of Oral Implantology (India).
