Brief Biography:

I am currently an Instructor in the Department of Cell Biology at Harvard Medical School and mentored by Dr. Steve Gygi.  I obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from Providence College in Biology and Systems Science, a Master’s Degree in Physics from the University of Rhode Island, a PhD in Biochemistry from Brown University and a Masters in Medical Science Degree from Harvard Medical School.

My main research interests are proteomics-based translational research and method development. The focus of my current research is to understand the molecular mechanisms and cell signaling pathways regulating proteomic alterations in various model systems. I am committed to understanding, using, and further innovating new mass spectrometry-based proteomics methods and technology.

Among the applications in which I have contributed include workflows for high-throughput sample processing, the quality control and quantitative accuracy standards for isobaric tagging, improvements in the identification and quantification of phosphopeptides using ion mobility (FAIMS) and various phosphopeptide enrichment strategies. My future work will continue efforts to innovate and apply cutting-edge proteomics technologies, with focus on benchmarking and streamlining TMT-based quantitative proteomics strategies.
