Brief Biography:
Vladimir Kalinin was born in1952 in family of physicians in Orenburg (Russian Federation). He has graduated Moscow State Medical Stomatological University (M.D.) in 1976. In 1976-1977 hehad finished an internship on psychiatry. In 1978 he has become a scientific researcher at Moscow Research Institute of Psychianty of Ministry of Health and Social Development whwre he is still working as Head of Department. The scope of his scientific interests concerns a broad range of psychiatry problems. The topic of his Doctoral Thesis (1996) concerned the anxiety disorders psychopathology and therapy with emphasis on panic disorder. Prof. Kalinin has authored 170 publications, including research articles in professional journals (in Russian and English), three monographs in Russian and one monograph in English. His biography is included in Marquis "Who is who in Medicine and Healthcare" (2006-2007); Who is who in Science and Engineering 2008-2009"; "Who is who in the World" (2010, 2011) and in Caqmbridge International Biographical Centre.
Academic positions:
Head of Department of Brain Organic Disorders and Epilepsy.
Research interests:
Psychopathology, psychopharmacology, neuropsychiatry and epileptology.
