Trained in general and colorectal surgery in Nigeria and Britain and has the intercollegiate FRCS in general surgery. Researched into malnutrition in colorectal cancer patients and obtained an M. Phil from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne UK and an LL.M in medical law from the University of Northumbria, UK. Current works in Canada as a specialist/consultant general surgeon in Canada. Married with four children

Master of Philosophy Thesis: My Master of Philosophy research project was on Malnutrition in Colorectal Cancer Patients admitted for elective surgery. Presented and successfully defended at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne

Master of Laws (Medical laws): My Master of Laws dissertation was entitled “An analysis of the English law of consent as it affects children and young adults under the age of eighteen”. This was presented to the University of Northumbria in Newcastle

1. Body Weight and Serum Albumin as Predictors of outcome in colorectal cancer patients. Presented at the Autumn Meeting of the Joint Northern & Yorkshire Chapters of The Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain & Ireland 23 November 2001.

2. Anthropometric Indices and Serum Albumin as Predictors of Outcomes in Colorectal Cancer Patients. Presented at the annual conference of the British Association Surgical Oncologists (BASO) in Cambridge in July 2002.
