Dr. Deepak Kale

Brief Biography:


Dr. Deepak S. Kale has earned his M.V.Sc., Ph.D.degree in Animal Genetics & Breeding with research specialisation in Animal Molecular Genetics. He has conducted part of doctoral research in area of buffalo genomics entitled “Genome Screening of Genes Associated with Milk Production Traits in Indian Buffaloes” at National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal-132001, Haryana.

Worked as Post Doctoral Fellow (PDF) in Wellcome Trust Project GAP0158 titled “Transcriptional and Post-transcriptional transgene silencing: insight mechanisms and interconnection” at Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), CSIR, Uppal Road, Hyderabad-500007, India

Currently, he is also involved teaching Animal Genetics & Breeding, Animal Genomics, Molecular Genetics and Animal Biotechnology courses to Under Graduate & Post Graduate students of veterinary Science as part of Animal Genetics & Breeding, Nagpur Veterinary College, Maharashtra Animal & Fishery Sciences University (MAFSU), Seminary Hills, Nagpur-06. (M.S.).

Dr. Deepak S. Kale’s current area of research interest is in the field of Functional Livestock Genomics & bioinformatics approaches in context with animal genetic improvement for production, reproduction, and health traits.
