Dr. Timothy Test

Brief Biography:


Dr. Test is a Psychologist, Professor, Life Care Planner, and consultant. He is partners in a holistic health practice and professor with The University of The Rockies. 

Dr. Test earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a minor in Russian in 1993 and a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling in 1996.  He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln concurrently with Templeton University ending up with a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Counseling/Counseling Psychology in 1999. His dissertation topic was on transitioning secondary students with learning disabilities into post-secondary institutions. He spent many years in the private and public sector and worked with many state, federal, and tribal agencies on issues such as psychosocial and cultural aspects of disabilities and reintegration and acceptance into the mainstream utilizing the least restrictive environment.   

He is currently working on a 2nd Ph.D. in Health Psychology/Behavioral Medicine at Northcentral University and attends The Capital University Law Scool Profession Certification Program in Life Care Planning.    As Northcentral is an online University, I have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the challenges of online learning and the importance of instructor accessibility in the online learning environment.

He has taught for numerous colleges and schools over the years and encompasses both on-ground and online classrooms.  His teaching experience includes graduate level Adolescent Psychology and Human Growth and Development at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO, Counseling classes for the Rehabilitation Counseling Program at Utah State University, and Higher Education classes at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  Additionally, he has taught Psychology, Ethics, and Logic at National College, and online classes for Everest College Online Division.  Currently he teaches Psychology in the Graduate Studies program at The University of the Rockies.

Research interests:


TBI, pain perception, psychoneuroimmunology. Particularly, I am interested in the effects of stress on pain.  I also have research interests in the biological process of mirror neurons.
