Research Associate
Dept of Surgery, Anschutz Medical Campus, Univ of Colorado, Denver
12700 E 19TH AVENUE

Brief Biography:

I have more than 12 years of research experience in the field of phototoxicology and cancer biology. During PhD, I have been working to determine the phototoxic potential of therapeutic drugs and their mechanism of action. During my postdoc, I have worked on Mdm2 binding protein (MTBP) and identified its role as metastasis suppressor in osteosarcoma as well as its biological function as mitotic checkpoint protein. As a group, we isolated and characterized osteosarcoma cancer stem cells using novel markers. Currently, I am trying to identify the novel regulators of CD24 that can be targeted for the cure of bladder cancer.
