Biography:


Dr Malgorzata Adamczyk Obtained scientific degrees: Master degree in Biotechnology at the Faculty of Agriculture Biotechnology, Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Poland,1997 PhD in biochemistry at The Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland, 2003 Since 1997 she has worked actively in the area of active partitioning process of DNA and DNA stable maintenance in both Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria. In 2006 she joined Manchester Institute of Biotechnology (MIB) at the University of Manchester in the UK, where she participated, as an experimental and computational investigator in several pan-European funded research projects in comparative systems biology of lactic acid bacteria and systems biology of yeast. Since September 2011 she has been appointed at the Institute of Biotechnology at the Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland, when she holds position of Research Assistant Professor and performs research, toward the achievement of the goals of research projects related to glycolysis and systems biology of eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells. In the past years her activities included: consulting on GMO at the GMO Information Office under auspices of European Federation of Biotechnology (Warsaw, Poland), consulting on microbial biotechnology for Manchester Institute of Innovation Research (Manchester, UK), acting as SysMO-DB PAL (Project Area Liason) for sharing and exchanging data, models and processes in systems biology, organisation of workshops and courses (Biomolecular Interactions and drug discovery”, Lumophore Biotech solution at the University of Manchester Incubator Company (2009); FEBS Advanced Course ‘New Developments in quantitative Molecular Biosciences’, Greece (2008); X science Festival “Researchers’Night’ ‘’Yeast are not only for backing’, Warsaw, Poland (2006). Dr Adamczyk is a member of professional organisations such as The Polish Biochemical Society and Society for General Microbiology. She is a reviewer of the scientific journals Methods in Enzymology, BMC Genomics Academic positions: 2011- present Research Assistant Professor at The Institute of Biotechnology, Faculty of Chemistry, Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw.
