  • Other Comments:

General comments: This MS Pelvic mass associated with Raised CA 125 for Benign Condition: A Case Report describes a single case report of a pelvic mass diagnosed and treated in a woman. The Ms does not deserve publication as a full length paper and should be recast into a short communication. The MS requires language and grammar changes besides scientific formatting.

    Abstract

Sould be recast to explain the importance of work, methodology results and conclusions. The conclusion is too long both in the abstract and the discussion.

Replace same findings with similar findings

Case presentation: Delete Para 4, who, NMC, in Lagos and on 3rd July 2011.

Introduction: This is a major disappointment. This section should mention the research carried out previously, the importance of this work and how this work supplements or expands the existing knowledge the existing knowledge in this field.

    Case report

Describe in full CS 125 at the first stance and then use the abbreviation throughout the MS. Some language needs revision for example

Past medical history revealed none contributory cause and no pelvic infections.

A further CA 125 level was measured pre-operatively which evidenced a rise to 1860.

Some mentioned should be made of the laparotomy procedure with the standard reference

Discussion is too long for one case report

change Age to age in the running text second para page 3 and the reference 7] should be corrected to [7].

The conclusion is too long and not conforming to the work.

    References

Reference citation does not conform to the usual pattern of citation. The reference should begin with the author name first and should be similar for all cited references

    Authors should follow this pattern

Author, Title, Journal (Year, volume number and page numbers). Avoid / between author names and better separate author names by a coma (,).
